Sample Size Effects on the Conduction Electron Spin Resonance Transmission in Aluminium and Silver

The peak height of the transmission electron spin resonance line as a functionof sample thickness L has been measured at 22.6 GHz in aluminium and silverrolled foils under anomalous skin effect and completely damped spin-wave con-ditions. The thickness dependence of the peak height for both metals showspositive curvature like L= ' and is fairly well explained by the theory of Walker.The thickness dependence of the spin relaxation time in silver foils has also beenmeasured. The probability 8 of the spin flip at the silver surface is found to be(682) x 10-'
