First-Order Phase Transition Boundary between Superconducting and SDW Phases in the Bechgaard Salts

Near the SDW-normal phase boundary obtained previously as a function ofthe transverse transfer energy t' on a quasi 10 llubbard model, the purely super-conducting state is found to extend into the SDW region, once it appears in thenormal region. The titled boundary is calculated on the basis of the above-mentioned model added with a?a anisotropic BCS-type interaction. The obtainedcurve well reproduces the observed TP phase diagram, if we take r':300 k. anddt'/dP -0.6 k./kbar. A new RPA expression of the anisotropie plasma frequencyfor the present model provides the value of t' in remarkable agreement with theabove estimate. Examination of the coupled equations for the two kinds of orderr>arameters leads to conclude no microscoric cot:xistence of them. Quasi 1 Dconductors are argued to be favorable to realize the triplet superconductivity.
