Dynamic Jahn-Teller Vibronic Coupling in Tetragonal Symmetry

A general problem of the dynamic Jahn-Teller effect for an electronic doublet(f) state in tetragonal symmetry has been studied. Numerical calculations ofenergy levels and Ham's reduction factors have be:on done for the cases in whichthe frequency for the two modes (73. and p.) and the coupling to them are assumeddifferent. The difference in the energy scheme betwcen cubic (7; x e) and tetragonal(AX(/71-T-#2)) cases is rointed out. Relations amonz Hant's reduction factorsare also discussed.
