Relaxation of Excitonic Molecules Generated by the Giant Two-Photon Laser Excitation in CuCl

Forward Raman scattering of excitonic molecule in Curl has been studied at thegiant two-photon excitation with using Baser light having a wave vector K. but threedifferent half band-widths, 0.2, 1.4 and 2.5 men. In cases ol' laser excitation withbroader half band-widths, the Raman and luminescence processes coexist and giveemission lines called (LEP). and (LEP)., respectively. Both lines show the similardependence of energy change upon the scattering angle. The (I,EP). and (CEP). linesshow red and blue shift, respectively, with the increase of Baser excitation intensity. Theexcitonic molecule-state generated at K=2K. is responsible for the (LEP). line, whilethe (LEP). line is considered to arise from a state having a certain K value smaller than2K.. Excitonic molecules generated coherently by the giant two-photon excitation areassumed to relax towards A=0 with keeping their individual mccmentum at almost thesame value.
