Differential scattering cross sections of K+ ions in the range 150–700 eV in collision with Ne atoms were measured at laboratory angles up to about 35°. Pseudo-rainbow peak theoretically predicted was clearly exhibited. Energy analysis of the scattered ions showed that no inelastic process was involved in K+-Ne collisions in this work. The repulsive potentials effective in the interatomic distances from 0.7Å to 1.6Å were derived from the cross sections. The potentials are in good agreement with the results published by other workers.
