Field Dependence of the Magnetic Susceptibility of CoCl_2・6H_2O

Spin wave analysis has been made on CoCl_2・6H_2O for its antifer-romagnetic, spin flop and paramagnetic states when the external magnetic field exists. The temperature and the field dependences of the magnetic susceptibility have been calculated with the exchange constants J_1, J_2 and J_3 estimated by Kimura. The experimental results by Metselaar and De Klerk can be satisfactorily explained by the present calculation. The magnetic phase diagram is also discussed.
