Angle-Resolved Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy Study of the Si(111)√<3>×√<3>-Bi Surface

Angle-resolved ultraviolet photoelectron spectra have been measured for theSill 1 1) V' 3 X J 3 -Bi surface. It has been found that at lea?;t four occupied surfacestate bands exist on the N/ 3 X ! 3 -Bi surface. The results are compared particularlywith the surface electronic structures of 1 /3 ME adatom models with the considera-Lion of spin-orbit interaction.
