Direct neutron emission process in polarized muon capture by ^<40>Ca is studied by the use of the formalism similar to the theory of beta decay leaving the lepton part relativistic. The formulas for the asymmetry and longitudinal polarization of the emitted neutrons are explicitly given by the interferences between two transitions whose forbiddennesses differ by one unit. A large neutron asymmetry and its strong energy-dependence are successfully explained by a realistic treatment of the final state interactions. The effect of these interactions on the longitudinal polarization is also investigated.
