Analytic Bound State Spectrum of Massive Thirring Model : General and Mathematical Physics

Applying the Infinite Momentum Frame technique, we solve analytically the charge zero sector of the massive Thirring model. The spectrum calculated from the eigenvalue equation obtained here has a proper behavior of the weak coupling limit. Further, it possesses only one bound state. For g/π=2, the boson mass becomes zero. Beyond that, there is no bound state and the model is not well defined, which agrees with Johnson's prediction. g/π=2 is the strong coupling limit and the wave function is found to be identical to that of the massless Schwinger model.
