Quasi-one-dimensional conductors like Bechgaard salts exhibit intriguing magnetotransport when a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the most conducting direction. When the tilt angle θ of the magnetic field from the least conducting direction takes particular values, the magnetoresistance reveals resonance like dips. Here we explore the related phenomenon in field induced spin density wave (FISDW) in terms of the θ dependence of the quasi-particle energy gap. The present theory describes the dips in the θ dependent magnetoresistance observed in FISDW of (TMTSF)_2PF_6 under pressure and predicts related resonance structures in the depinning electric field in the nonohmic conductivity as well in the torque and other thermodynamical properties.
