A phase shift analysis of the available p-p elastic data including the recent p-p measurements at ANL has been performed at p_<lab> = 1.1,1.2,1.25,1.3,1.38,1.5,1.6,1.7,1.9,2.0,2.5 and 3 GeV/c. The results indicate the existence of the diproton resonance in the ^3F_3 (2.22 GeV) already suggested and show that there is a possibility of at least another resonance in the ^1D_2 (2.17 GeV). In this paper I, the phase-shift results are summarized. Resonance parameters of the ^3F_3 (2.22 GeV) diproton are evaluated to give M<ap> 2.22 GeV, Γ〜100-150 MeV and Γ_<el> /Γ〜0.2. Important experimental data relating to the ^3F_3 (2.22 GeV) state are interpreted on the basis of the phase shift solution.
