Phenomenological Theory of Spin-Glasses : Static Non-Linear and Dynamical Linear Susceptibilities

By taking into account a symmetry consideration in the theory proposed by the present authors (Prog. Theor. Phys. 65 (1981), 83), the expression for free energy of spin-glass is obtained as a function of the respective parameters g and m for spin-glass and ferromagnetic phases and of what was named the internal field parameter θ. It is found that the non-linear susceptibility x_2 diverges to minus infinity at the transition temperature T_g between the spin-glass and paramagnetic phases in proportion to ∣T-T_g∣^<-1>. On the basis of a conventional theory, the kinetic equations for g, m and θ are constructed to calculate the dynamical susceptibility x(ω). A collective mode exhibiting the critical slowing down at T_g is found from the poles of x(ω). The imaginary part of x(ω) divided by the frequency ω diverges to infinity in the vanishing limit of ω with critical exponents different adjacently below and above T_g.
