The pionic decay of ~5_ΛHe is investigated to obtain information on the Λ-nucleus interaction. Two types of a-Λ potentials are used for the purpose. One is a potential with central repulsion (Isle) and the other is a single Gaussian potential with no repulsion (SG). The obtained π^- decay rate is 0.35 Γ_Λ for Isle and 0.27 Γ_Λ for SG, Γ_Λ being the total decay rate of a free Λ particle. The former is in better agreement than the latter with the experimental value of 0.44±0.11 Γ_Λ. This result suggests that the a-Λ potential has central repulsion. In order to discuss final-state nuclear resonance effects Green's function method is introduced in the calculation of the continuum π^- decay spectrum. Both the sharp p_<3/2> and the broad p_<1/2> a-p resonances play roles to build up a peak structure in the spectrum. It is observed that the low-energy nuclear resonances enhance the partial decay rates.
