Extreme Relativistic Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions and Their Products : Exotic Nuclei

General view of nucleus-nucleus collisions at extremely relativistic regimes is presented. Such collisions will lead, occasionally, to formation of exotic shape---pancake or doughnut---isomers and flavour nuclei. discussions are given on possible physical nature of exotic shape nuclei, in particular, torus nuclei. It is suggested that exotic shape isomers may have smaller nuclear density than normal nuclei and lifetimes as long as ≳10^<-11> sec.
