Prediction for Virtual Photon Cross Section in Deep Inelastic ep Scattering from the Reaction e^++e^-→p^^-+Anything Based on the Generalized Vector Meson Dominance

By the use of the, Generalized Vector Meson Dominance, the virtual photon cross section in deep inelastic ep scattering is predicted from the reaction e^<+>+e^-→p^^-+anything. The prediction depends on the ratio R=σ(e^++e^-→hadrons)/σ(e^<+>+e^<->→μ^<+>μ^<->) and we can get a good fit assuming R⋍2 which is due to usual vector mesons. Our model predicts the decrease of σ_T(VN) with increasing m_v^2.
