Instruction materials, used in the multimedia tele-education system, have to be constructed based on the knowledge with contexts in order to enhance the thinking faculty of students. To cope with this problem, multimedia teaching materials are made by World Wide Web which has a hyper linkage function between the many teaching materials. This instruction data base was installed oh the campus network of Numazu campus of Tokai university. This data base was used by about fifty students through the campus network. A questionnaire made inquiries about this data base used as a multimedia tele-education system. From the inquiry data, we have evaluated the system including the multimedia teaching materials using the factor analysis method. In this paper, the outline of the multimedia instruction data base, the outline of the experimental tele-education system and the system evaluation results are described. The system evaluation results show that the subjects of "easy understanding" of multimedia material, "concentration to learning" and so on have plus weight values. But the subjects of "no direct communication with teacher" and so on have minus weight values. These mean that (1) the tele-education system with multimedia network could be accepted from a points of learning with pleasure, (2) but, the students would feel uneasy about no existing of the teachers. In here, there is an issue for realizing of this new educational system.
