In this study, the examination of stress acting on the reinforcing bar by natural frequencies is described. The finite element method program for calculating the natural frequencies of the stressed bar is written. The measured frequencies are then compared with those obtained by the calculation. This proves that the determination of fixation-degree at both ends of the bar is an important factor to estimate the stress.
