In this paper we describe a numerical scheme to find the position of free surfaces for transient incompressible creeping flows. For finding the position, the Taylor-Galerkin finite element method is applied to the equation of pseudo-concentration function. A simple one-dimensional pure advection equation is first solved to examine the method. An axisymmetric radial flow and a flow through benchmark-type prolbem are then analyzed for illustrative purposes.
