It is well known that a micro-machine is exerted by a significant level of friction force as compared with the inertial force due to the scale effects. Therefore, it is very hard to drive the micro-machine using the conventional type of actuators. On the other hand, the small size flyinginsects such as mosquitos, flies and bees easily overcome the scale effect problems making use of self-excited vibration of wings and can fly in the air with high-speed under the condition of large viscous resistance. So, it may give a good solution in designing micro-actuators to study the basic mechanism of movements of small size flying-insect's wing. In this paper, from a point of view of vibration engineering, a method for the modeling of dynamics of flying insect's wing is presented for two types of flying-insects; that is "direct-flying-muscle type insects" and "indirect-flying-muscle type insects". Moreover, some numerical results of self-excited vibration analyses of both types of insect's wing are shown in the graphic form.
