Measurement methods for phase noise of oscillators include one using a phase-lock loop (PLL). However, this method cannot be used for measuring extremely low phase noise since it includes the phase noise of the reference oscillator in the measured values in addition to that of the oscillator being measured. We have therefore been studying a cross-correlation method to measure extremely low phase noise. In this report, numerical processing using a cross-correlation method is studied through computer simulations.
