Photoluminescence of CsPbCl3 films prepared via the amorphous phase is characterized by strong free-exciton emission compared to that of single crystals. In particular, the microcrystalline state of the films shows intense free-exciton emission, suggesting the occurrence of excitonic superradiance. Under high-power excitation, the luminescence for the microcrystalline state is almost completely dominated by stimulated emission, in great contrast to the case for single crystals. The microcrystalline films provide fascinating materials for application in thin-film lasers.
