Large amplitude cavitons caused by incident high-power microwave pulses with a frequency of 2.85 GHz up to 100 kW at the resonance plane are observed in a TM01 cylindrical plasma waveguide. The localized RF electrostatic fields are found to be attenuated by the action of wave breaking, and the dips of the density continue to grow. The dependences of the density profile of cavitons, the wave breaking time and the localized RE electrostatic fields at the breaking time on the incident power are consistent with the theoretical prediction, even for such high powers. The characteristics of Langmuir probe measurements after the initiation of the incidence of microwave pulses are also described.
