• The title compound has been prepared and the crystal structure determined by the X-ray diffraction method. The complex ion is the <I>trans</I>(<I>P</I>, <I>N</I>) isomer, where one of the N atoms of (2-aminoethyl)dimethylphosphine (edmp) occupies the position trans to the P atom of the other edmp ligand.
