1,7-Dithia-4-selena[7]- and 1,9-dithia-5-selena[9](1,1′)ferrocenophanes were prepared. These compounds, as well as 1,4,7-trithia[7]- and 1,5,9-trithia[9](1,1′)ferrocenophanes, were treated with (CH<SUB>3</SUB>CN)<SUB>4</SUB>Pd(BF<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> or (CH<SUB>3</SUB>CN)<SUB>4</SUB>Pt(BF<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> to give the corresponding 1/1 complexes in good yield. The spectral data of these complexes confirmed that there exsisted a dative Fe–Pd or Fe–Pt bond in these bimetallic complexes.
