• The synthesis of C/D <I>trans</I>- and <I>cis</I>-fused C-nor-D-homoandrostan-3β-ol 3-acetates (<B>11a</B> and <B>34a</B>) from jervine (<B>1</B>) is described. The configurations of both the compounds and the synthetic intermediates are defined clearly on the basis of the chemical and spectral evidence.
