4′-Vinylbenzo-15-crown-5 was conveniently synthesized in 30% yield by the reaction of diazotized 4′-aminobenzo-15-crown-5 with ethylene (6–10 kg/cm<SUP>2</SUP>) in the presence of zerovalent palladium at room temperature.
