The medial longitudinal arch of 702 feet of 415 infants between the ages of one year and six were radiologically examined.Two hundred ninety-three feet were re-examined one year later and 96 feet two years later. Talo-1st metatarsal angle, talo-calcaneal angle and calcaneal angle were measured in the lateral X-ray projection of the standing position.The medial longitudinal arch of the foot elevates progressively between 1 and 3 years. Fewer changes of ranges of these angles were observed as the feet grow.
