The Results of Riemenbügel Treatment for Congenital Dislocation of the Hip.An investigation was made on 56 cases in our clinic involving 61 hips reduced by Riemenbügel treatment during a period between the year 1969 and 1982. The average in terms of months when the treatment started was 4 months (range: 1 month to 1 year and 3 month). The average age when investigated was 9 years old (range: 6 years to 18 years old). The results consisted of 82% of satisfactory group and 18% of unsatisfactory group. Judging from the historical change of the hips after treatment for reduction, it was considered to have a high possibility of getting better prognosis in the cases with improvements up to α angle of 25°, OE angle of 10°, and ot value of 26mm, at the age of 6 years old.
