Three cases of chronic epiphyseal injuries (proximal humeral epiphysis in a 10-year-old little league shortstop., distal radial epiphysis of a 12-year-old boy in shorinzi-kenpo and second distal metatarsal epiphysis in a 12-year-old classic ballet-dancer) were reported. All initial roentgenograms revealed widening of epiphyseal plate. By temporal cessation of the athletic training, roentgenographic evidence of healing was noted within one to five months. Predictable risks of premature epiphyseal closure or abnormal bone growth or recurrence were discussed.
