The results of manual reduction for congenital dislocation of the hip.

Thirty cases (thirty-five hips) treated by manual reduction between 1974 and 1981 were reviewed. The results were classified by Severin's criteria. Twenty-six hips (74%) were in Groups I and II. The results were poor in children who had had manual reduction after one and half year old. We concluded that it was hard to predict the final results before six year old.
