Ectopic calcification is not a so rare disease for orthopedic surgeon But now, we experienced a case who had deposition of hydroxyapatite in the multiple portions of the body. The patient is a 31-year-old male and had been treated by periodic hemodialysis for these 8 years. Year by year, osteodystrophy and metastatic calcification developed. He complained of severe pain in bone and joints. And last year, he fell down during the exercise of gait. Then, he could never stand up again.There was not evidence of hyperparathyroidism. The value of c-PTH was within normal limit. On the other hand, serum aluminum showed very high level. Then, we suspected aluminum osteopathy. But, we could not use DFO therapy, because he refused the therapy because of nausea.He had severe emaciation, hypoproteinemia, anemia, liver cirrhosis and pleuritis (Tb. suspected). On September 2, 1985, he died.
