Low grade central osteosarcoma was originally described by Unni et al. in 1977. Until now about forty cases were reported. We treated one patient who was considered to have this relatively rare tumor. The patient was a 31 years old man. Radiological examination revealed mixed changes of sclerotic lesions and lytic lesions at his right proximal tibia. CT showed cortical bone destruction and parosteal involvements of soft tissue. Histologically, there were trabeculae of bone, osteoid, chondr oid within spindle cell stroma. These cells were slightly atypical, but mitotic figures could not be found. It was difficult to diagnose this tumor as a malignant one by histological findings. Finally, we diagnosed this tumor as low grade central osteosarcoma from the clinical findings.
