The loss of DNA from human lymphocytes during trypsin or a-chymo-trypsin treatment was investigated with cytof luorometry. The decrease of fluorescence intensity was most remarkable with trypsin treatment, even when incubation was carried out at 4°C. In contrast, α-chymotrypsin treatment had very little effects on the fluorescence intensity.
