In order to know whether the tea plant is wind-pollinated or not, the study on the scattering of tea pollens by wind was carried out. It was observed that pollens which were able to germinate well were scattered from a tea plant by wind. It seemed that the climatic factors such as the velocity of wind and the atmospheric humidity had influenced on the number of pollens scattered by wind. It was observed also that to try to prevent natural crossing by covering tea plant with wire-netting of 1 mm. mesh was useless because pollens which had germinating power could pass through this netting.
