• フィリピン産の材料にもとづき,シロチョウ科に属する2種Pareronia boebera ESCHSCHOLTZフィリピンアサギシロチョウおよびBandaca harina HORSFIELDムモンキチョウの幼生ステイジの諸形態を記載するとともに,それらの習性,食性についても述べた.また幼生ステイジの特徴にもとづき,両種の系統的位置に関して,おのおの若干の論議を行なった.Pareronia boeberaは幼生ステイジの形態および習性において,これまでに報告のあるPareonia valeriaやP.pingasaときわめて近似している.またPareronia属は成虫および幼虫の形態の類似から,アフリカ産のNepheronia属と姉妹群関係にあると推定された.Gandaca harinaの幼生ステイジは形態的にも,習性の上でも,シロチョウ科の中においてきわめて特異である.本種の老熟幼虫は,食草の葉に特有の食痕をつけ,これにより葉が内側に巻きこむことによって作られた巣の中に,個別に潜んでいる.シロチョウ科において,このような特異な造巣性をもつ種はこれまで知られていない.
