The fishery in Kozushima Isle will be able to induce four characteristics as follows : (1) It is dependent upon the special management, so-called "Tatekiriami" fishery, among eleven kinds of fishery methods. (2) The degree of specialization to higher classes of fresh fishes is very distinguished, because the specification in products is going on free from autarkic economy. (3) The labor force of employment has been divided adequately between male and female, according to the decrease of woman employment. (4) In general, the present states of fishery are not able to deny its decline in social position, though its dependence on the fishery in productive incomes is so great. As a main factor of its decline will be due to the marked tendency for sight-seeing since 1965. On the other hand, it is very remarkable that the fishery in Kozushima Isle is based on the peculiar management community by rigid "Amigumi" system. The gulf between rich and poor is not wide and there is no differentiation of classes in fishermen. But the existence of "Amigumi" system depresses the development to capitalism of fishery and inhibits the smooth enlargement of re-production. Therfore, this instance of cooperative production by "Tatekiriami" fishery in Kozusnima Isle will be very noticeable all over the country.
