This paper has an attempt to serve as an aid of the elucidation for a special port, that is Ishinomaki Industrial Port, with respect to the subject of the formation and structure of industrial ports in Tohoku District. The contents of the study are mainly as follows: I. The present situation and property of Ishinomaki Industrial Port. 1). Tendency of cargo handled. 2). The flowing areas of cargoes between domestic marine transportation. 3). Industrial ports as viewed from the way to use wharves. II. The relation between Ishinomaki Industrial Port and industry in general. III. The characteristic of port function in Ishinomaki Industrial Port. According to the result of this study, the port function of Ishinomaki Industrial Port is able to induce to the terminal function for specific minority plants, that is directly connected with the capital accumulation of seaside industry, as well as Onahama Port. Therefore, this author would like to say as conclusion that the development of industrial ports in our country will be formed the basing place for maximum increase by reason of the utilization of public, exclusive use by capitalism at the underdeveloped port.
