中高年男性ランナーの持久的な運動が運動後の心拍数の回復と自律神経活動に及ぼす影響

本研究の目的は,ランニング運動習慣のある中高年男性ランナー両群の間に,運動後の心拍数の回復及び自律神経活動について調べることである。対象者は16名の男性ランナー(年齢50〜69歳)であり,日常生活において1週間に走る距離の違いによって二つのグループに分けた(L群:43.5±5.0キロ/週,n=8;S群:9.5±0.8キロ/週,n=8)。この二つのグループはランニング運動を行っている年数はほぼ同じであった。被験者は自転車エルゴメーターを使用して,最大下運動を行った。運動後の心拍数の回復及び心臓の自律神経系の調節を調べるために,運動前後にホルター心電図を着装し,その記録を心拍変動スペクトル解析により分析した。同時に嫌気性代謝閾値時の酸素摂取量(V^^・O_<2AT>)の測定も行った。L群はV^^・O_<2AT>と運動後1分間の心拍低下がS群と比べ有意に高かった。心拍変動解析の成分(平均RR間隔,標準偏差とHFパワー)について,L群はS群より高かったが,有意差が認められなかった。今回の研究より,日常生活に持久的な運動量が多い中高年男性ランナーは高い有酸素運動能力と運動後の心拍数の早い回復を示したが,持久的な運動量の増加によって中高年男性の自律神経活動を改善するのは難しいと思われる。
