Supersaturated solid solutions in La-Au, La-Fe, La-Sn and Fe-Ni-B alloys systems were studied by X-ray diffraction, Mossbauer effect and electrical resistivity. Specimens were prepared by a two-piston type liquid quenching apparatus. It was concluded that the positions of solute atoms in the lattice are different among these alloy systems.
