The equilibrium in the reduction of solid stannous sulphide by hydrogen gas was measured with the aid of flow method and the equilibrium constants were determined at temperatures between 533° and 679℃. The experimental results obtained are summarized by the equations as follows : numerical formula. By combining the above equations with the known ones for hydrogen sulphide, the following equations were obtained with respect to the dissociation of solid stannous sulphide : numerical formula. And also using these values, the heat and standard free energy changes for the formation of solid stannous sulphide from the elements at room temperature were calculated. numerical formula.
