Effect of Implantation-Induced Anisotropy on Magnetization Distributions in Garnet Films

The magnetization distributions in ion-implanted garnet films are investigated through numerical computation of the equation of motion for the magnetization vectors. Taking into consideration the different distributions of the implantation-induced anisotropy, we calculate the polar and azimuthal angles of the magnetization vectors as a function of depth. It is found that the polar angle varies in considerable accordance with the variation of the perpendicular anisotropy. On the other hand, the variation of the azimuthal angle is rather complicated. It is shown that this is due to the influence of cubic magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
