The preparation of high-T_c superconducting films of Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_<7-δ> on MgO(001) substrates by a simple dip-coating technique is described. The superconducting properties, adhesion, and microstructure of these films depend strongly on the heat treatment conditions. The critical current and the adhesion of the films can be increased by the extremely short exposure to high temperature at 1100℃ followed by a proper thermal annealing process in oxygen. The best film with T_c(onset)=84 K, T_c(R=0)=80 K, and zero-field critical current density of roughly 70 A/cm^2 at 77 K is obtained.
