Reaction and intermixing at the Bi_2Sr_2Ca_4Cu_6O_x/PbO interfaces led to the formation of a high-T_c110 K superconducting phase of the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system. Samples have been prepared by a solid state reaction in air at 845℃ for 50 h. The sample shows a zero resistivity drop and a large diamagnetization above 100 K. The high-T_c phase was also confirmed by the X-ray powder diffraction. To investigate the role of the Pb element in the formation of the high-T_c phase, detailed studies on the diffusion of Pb and other elements through the interfaces were performed by electron probe X-ray microanalysis. Further, we observed the microstructures of the grown crystals near the interfaces. These results showed that the high-T_c phase largely grew in the Pb-diffused regions of Bi_2Sr_2Ca_4Cu_6O_x
