MgO-CaO-SiO_2-Al_2O_3 (MCAS) glass, which is fabricated by the sol-gel method, is selected as the sintering aid of Ba_2Ti_9O_<20> ceramics. The effect of adding glass on the sintering and dielectric properties of Ba_2Ti_9O_<20> ceramics is investigated. The crystalline phases of MCAS-Ba_2Ti_9O_<20> ceramics are Ba_2Ti_9O_<20> and cordierite. As the content of MCAS glass increases, the density curve is shifted to lower sintering temperature. For the densified MCAS-Ba_2Ti_9O_<20> ceramics, the dielectric constants (at 1MHz) decrease with increasing MCAS glass content.
