The up-conversion detection of infrared degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) spectroscopy for imaging is proposed and demonstrated. The sensitivity of measurements was considered numerically for a scheme of sum-frequency up-conversion and an optical parametric amplification. A model experiment was also carried out in order to compare the sensitivities of direct infrared detection and up-conversion detection.
