Angular distribution of a cesium atomic beam effusing from long tube collimators with circular cross section was measured. Two types of collimators, a stainless steel tube (0.7 mmφ×20 mm) and a glass capillary array (50 μmφ×2 mm) were examined. The glass capillary array was superior in terms of collimation and Cs consumption, and this was attributed to its small dimension.
