A new digital gate unit for multiparameter pulse height analysis is described. The 3-bit comparator which is used to select gate segments in the digital gate unit is described in detail. Performance of this unit in the case of a gamma-gamma coincidence measurement with Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) detectors is also presented.
