Controllable capture of Au nano-particles is successfully done by AC dielectrophoresis. The AC capture shows better results than DC capture in controlling the number of nano-particles captured in the gap. lt is found that AC capture is possible in a wide range of capture parameters, and the current-voltage characteristics measured from those devices at room temperature exhibits almost linear behaviors. Magnetic nanoparticles are captured by the magnetic field generated by the current flow through nano-electromagnets.
