In neopurpuratin production by mixed culture of Streptomyces propurpuratus with Bacillus sp. no. 751,a metabolite of Bacillus sp. no, 751 caused neopurpuratin production by the streptomycete, so neopurpuratin production in a pure culture of S. propurpuratus is possible using a medium containing a sterile filtrate of culture broth of Bacikkus sp. no. 751. Its optimal culture conditions were investigated.
