For improving the in vivo bone formation in cultured bone transplantation system, we combined the transplantation technique with gene transfer to overexpress oeteoblast differentiation factors, angiogenic factors, transcription factors, etc. In this paper, our application of adeniviral infection by carrying cDNA of angiogenic factor : VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) on cultured bone transplantation model using rat bone marrow derived osteoblasts will be introduced.
